Barcelona have reached an agreement with Brazilian club Gremio on the possibility of buying midfielder Arthur, the club announced on Sunday.
Plaugrana can activate this option in July 2018. If the club does so, the transfer will amount to € 30 million and another $ 9 million.
The 21-year-old Brazilian won the Copa Libertadores with Gremio and the Sampa Under-17s, less than 20 years old, and was called up to the first team.
Arthur is best known for his ability to create and lead play, keep the ball and its subtle passions, and its evils that pose a real danger to adversaries.
Arthur began his career in 2008, in the lower age group of Goias, before signing for Gremio in 2010, and over time he became a fixture for the first team and was selected as the best player in the final leg of the Copa Libertadores.
Arthur joins Brazilian players in the Catalan team, Paulinho and Philippe Coutinho, who arrived at Camp Nou in a record deal that exceeded 140 million euros.
